Aston Martin History - David Brown Bought Aston Martin

With World War II the Aston Martin production arrested itself. When the conflict was finally over David Brown, a rich british industrialist, producer of gears and tractors, bought the British House. From that moment the Aston Martins will be called with the initials "DB" and obviously the first presented model, in 1948, was called DB1. It praised a really good frame, but modest performances caused by the old pre-war engine of four-cylinder and two litres. The problem was resolved with the acquisition of an historical label by David Brown of the British motor racing, the Lagonda, which disposed of a good six-cylinder of 2,6 litres and a 100 horse-power engine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aston Martin History - David Brown Bought Aston Martin - Con la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, la produzione automobilistica dell'Aston Martin si arrest
