(Long Chassis, 1934 - 1935)
This is an example of the rare and elegant long chassis sports saloon. With a price tag of £700, it isn't surprising that only 24 were ever built and although heavy for the 1½ litre engine are a very elegant car indeed. Arguably, the most attractive body ever made by E. Bertelli on a pre-war Aston Martin; certainly my personal favourite.

Only a few years after it was established, Aston Martin entered receivership. The fledgling company was eventually saved from bankruptcy by A.C. Bertelli in 1926. At the time Bertelli was also working on a car of their own design and more importantly also established a coach-building shop next door to the Aston Martin factory.
