DMC Fakhuna Aston Martin DBS

2014-04-28 Read: 438x

German Luxury Tuner DMC has introduced the DMC Fakhuna, a concept design for the Aston Martin DBS. The official release follows after a series of teaser pictures.

Most significant change is an aggressive new front bumper fascia, which is equipped with larger air-intakes and a spoiler lip. Between the front and rear side, side skirt attachments render a lowered and more stretched look.

In order to reduce the lifting forces at the back axle, DMC fitted a shapely spoiler which can be fitted on the rear lid and enhanced with a matching three-part rear diffuser. The latter optically extends the side skirts downwards and holds the two end pipes of the DMC sport exhaust system. Carbon fiber and real actual gold are the dominant colours in this styling package.

The German fitted a new three-part DMC forged alloy wheel. The concave rims and the titanium bolting are combined with a highly-polished rim flange. DMC offers the wheel/tyre combination measuring 9.0Jx21 inches with 245/30ZR21 tyres at the front and 10.5Jx21 rims with tyres measuring 295/25ZR21.

The new aluminium wheels are complemented with special chassis springs which lower the center of gravity of the Aston by 30mm at the front axle and by 20mm at the rear axle. As part of the performance upgrade, the Duesseldorf-based engineers developed sport catalysers and sport end mufflers.

Clients that are interested to get the DMC look for one of their DB-S’s may contact the tuner for more details.

Aston Martin DBS Volante (2009) review

First Drives

Can you have a supercar too far? Not according to Aston Martin. The good folk of Gaydon aren't afraid to fill each and every niche with sports and supercars of every persuasion and nuance. They'll do you a V8 in open or closed form, oriented to comfort or slinging around the Nurburgring. They'll even do a V8 with a V12, if you see what we mean. So it's no surprise that they're no...

Aston Martin DBS Touchtronic (2008) review

First Drives

Not even James Bond has driven the Aston Martin DBS Touchtronic yet. Quantum of Solace is just about to open but Daniel Craig must content himself with the standard manual DBS. We’ve already driven his likely next car: the DBS Touchtronic with an automatic gearbox, a new Bang and Olufsen sound system and gorgeous new optional wheels. Read our full review here...

Australian test DBS (2008)

2008 Aston Martin DBS First steer

“The DBS is a luxury GT, but it feels quicker off the line than Lamborghini’s Gallardo Superleggera”

Our sole purpose of going to England was to be the first Australian media outlet to drive the no nonsense, hard-core, Aston Martin DBS. You’ll more than likely know this car, as James Bond’s British Secret Service company car, in the last Bond Film.

It also happ...

Two-Car Libido Enhancer: What you get for $266,350 or $385,419 are babe magnets, but minus the whole point: the back seats.

Should you get on Jeopardy! here’s the likely question to the answer, “A very popular video game about racing”: What is Gran Turismo? Well, that’s one answer.

Gran turismo (or grand touring) is a term cooked up by car-crazy Italians ages ago to describe an automobile tha...

Time to buy Aston Martin DBS (2007 - 2012)

The Aston Martin DBS is one of those achingly beautiful Aston flagship cars that will always find a ready used market. Will it be a classic model? Probably not. The DBS replaced the Vanquish and it was replaced by the Vanquish, which, in a nutshell, identifies where its manufacturer's allegiances lay. If the DBS was indeed marking time, it did so very successfully and there are many who prefer the...

Extremely unique bright yellow DBS

LODER 1899 & ASTON MARTIN DBS

It's nigh impossible to write the words "Aston Martin" without the name of a famous secret agent spurting out uncontrollably in the very next sentence. That perfect symbiosis is ingrained in the mind and becomes almost impossible to skirt when our host for the day speaks in near-perfect clipped English with just the mildest hint of a German accent. That man is Max Loder, who at 26 years old is luc...

Aston Martin DBS Touchtronic

Auto gearbox helps range-topping Aston find its true identity

Cool car, the DBS. It just doesn’t know what it wants to be. Well, that’s not strictly true. It wants to be a 599 GTB, but its lazier V12 and DB9 architecture don’t allow it to pull off the hardcore front-engined sports car thing quite so well. It’s safe to say that adding an automatic gearbox won’t change that, but it might give the DB...

Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

Carbon fibre bonnet, front wings, doors. Carbon fibre front splitter. Carbon fibre rear diffuser. Carbon-ceramic brakes. Carbon fibre propshaft. Dammit, even carbon fibre door pulls. How much more 'carbon' can you make the Aston Martin DBS?
